Hike Lucca – The Nottolini’s aqueduct
Hike Lucca This trail follow the arches of the ancient Nottolini’s aqueduct, one of the most majestic and interesting infrastructure of Lucca.
It consist of 460 arches from the beautiful city of Lucca to the mountains where there were 18 extra pure sources of water. 
The aqueduct is about 3,2 Km long and is surrounded by wonderful landscape.
We usually guide our group along the arches until the sources located on very green and clean hill. From here some groups like to follow the path and rise the slope to the top point from witch they can admire all the valley, Lucca and all the aqueduct from a high point. Others prefer to come back.
How we usually organize the day on the Hike near Lucca
We usually ask to be ready in the morning in order to start walking around 9.00-9.30. We explain how will be the path, where are going to and how hard it will be (this trail is quite easy) and what we need. When we are ready the hiking tour begin.
Packed lunch and extra visit
The best solution for the hiking is to have a packed lunch but, if the group prefer, we can organize something different like a regular lunch in a restaurant. After the trail the group can visit Lucca or can move to Pisa (about 40 minutes by bus).
